Some Ear Candy – Mr. Probz’s Waves

My brother, Mike, kindly left a little gift on my Facebook wall yesterday. It was a YouTube link to the Robin Schultz Remix of Mr Probz‘s song entitled Waves. I’m sure you’ve bobbed your shoulders to the track already. For some reason YouTube wouldn’t allow me to watch the video so I searched for the song and found the acoustic version of the original song. Raw acoustic performances in the studio are always better to fully appreciate the mood of the song and to really digest the lyrics.

My brother, Mike, has a talent of sourcing great tunes with deep, soulful lyrics that are appropriate for that day in your life. He often sends some gems my way when I’m in need of some quality ear candy. Thanks Morks 🙂

Do yourself a favor and listen to this track. I’ll let Mr. Probz’s voice the lyrics below speak for themselves.

Waves

My face above the water
My feet can’t touch the ground,
Touch the ground, and it feels like
I can see the sands on the horizon
Everytime you are not around
I’m slowly drifting away (drifting away)
Wave after wave, wave after wave
I’m slowly drifting (drifting away)
And it feels like I’m drowning
Pulling against the stream
Pulling against the streamI wish I could make it easy
Easy to love me, love me
But still I reach, to find a way
I’m stuck here in between
I’m looking for the right words to sayI’m slowly drifting, drifting away
Wave after wave, wave after wave
I’m slowly drifting (drifting away)
And it feels like I’m drowning
Pulling against the stream
Pulling against the stream
