My favourite #Neknomination random acts of kindness

You’ve all seen the #Neknomination challenge that has gone viral and spread across the world. I have seen some hilarious videos with guys downing deathly concoctions (2 people have died) and doing silly skits and dances. However, my two favourite #Neknominations are those who took on the challenge and did random acts of kindness.

It’s great to see that some people have turned their Neknominations into something positive and fun. South Africa has done a great job with various people donating food, clothing and money to those less fortunate. Dominique Little, a Rhodes Journalism & Media Studies graduate who was a year or two below me, created a ‘Keep Smiling South Africa’ #Neknomination. She used her photography skills to capture South African portraits. Do yourself a favour and watch this:

I worked with a crazy fun Australian guy on a yacht a few years ago in Mexico. He decided to turn his #Neknomination into a really great random act of kindness. Daniel Gaut and his friend Glen Deegan were in the Bahamas and decided to invite a homeless man to join them for a day of fun in the sun at Atlantis water park. Their new friend, Alvin, parked his trolley and hopped into the car unsure of where the day would lead him. He had no idea how much fun he was going to have. You all looked like you were on top of the world. Good job guys – you did an awesome job!
