Beautiful Bonny Ridge Farm in Kokstad, South Africa

Bonny Ridge Farm in Kokstad, where Rich grew up, is a feast for the eyes.
Blue skies scattered with white clouds cast floating shadows over the lush green hills.
The dams reflect the surrounding grazing cattle and horses while farm workers maintain and nurture the land.

Rich’s Dad, Hamish, kindly took me on two farm tours where he explained what work was being done and gave descriptions of the various herds of cattle.
We were a bit like snap-happy tourists capturing the sights out the car window but look what I managed to get out of it.

I’m sure Rich will appreciate these photographs on those occasional home-sick days when we are back on the yacht.

Thank you Hamish, Bridget, Lulu, Rich, Paddy and Tessa for making me feel so welcome and at home. Sadly I had to cut my trip short to return home to Cape Town but I will definitely be back and I look forward to that day.
