A stroll down memory lane at Kirstenbosch Gardens in Cape Town

Kirstenbosch Botantical Gardens is one of my favourite spots in Cape Town. This city oasis has been a playground since my childhood.

As a child, my parents used to take us for picnics where we would explore the shallow streams, catch tadpoles and discover new shady spots under tree canopies.

As a teenager, my friends and I would often go for picnics where we would catch up on news, snack on delicious treats and soak up the sun.

As an adult, I love going for walks with my camera and enjoying one of the most beautiful places in the world. Another highlight are the Sunday evening summer concerts showcasing local and international live music acts.
I cannot wait to see the British Band Bastille in January…chilling on a picnic blanket, enjoying live music at a breath-taking venue. Yes please.

I haven’t been to Kirstenbosch in over two years so I went for a stroll this morning and these are some of the photographic moments I captured.

Enjoy!

Thanks so much for your comment. Yes I designed the logo and color palette but used a WordPress.com theme as a base and customized it. You just have to play around. Good Luck! 🙂

  3. Gorgeous Pictures Katie! I can’t wait to see you in the sunshine soon! x x x
